Don't you bring me down today

Thursday 27th October.

Today I felt like I was invincible (not where no-one can see me, that’s invisible). after a record 1100 cal’s in 65 mins and a freshen up, I had 2 items on the agenda.

I had to sort out the issue regarding my tuition fees. Since I’m not a resident of California, I supposedly have to pay ‘non-resident’ tuition fees. I have a waiver for these fees, which I previously handed in 4 weeks previous. They said they’d sort it then and there, but it’s still bugging me and I can’t enroll in classes for next quarter without this being corrected. This time, I handed another copy of the waiver over and got it partly sorted. To this day, the balance is still there, but the restriction on the enrollment has been lifted.

The other was the health screening. I had a quick interview with the health specialists on campus. A quick once over, and the other restriction was lifted. I felt great, so I treated myself to a smoothie and a wheatgrass shot, just to prolong the good feeling.

Something clearly happened then, because the day just got better from there. My marketing class finished early, my management class finished in 30 minutes and my finance class was cancelled J

The day finished with more relaxing in the village square, a combination of TV, beating people in pool, table football and ping pong . but only for 2 hours, as the place was quickly renovated into a frat-house complete with non-alcoholic beverages and root-beer pong. Turns out I’m sort of average at beer-pong, plus the Americans practically play it as a semi-professional sport.

After my fill of root beer and vodka-imitating slushies, I headed home, only to waste more time watching internet TV and freecell.
